Chiltern View's real-ice rink at Stoke Mandeville opens Fri 20 November and runs to 5 January. Skating from £10, skates included, Santa on five December days.
Aylesbury’s ice rink is back for Christmas 2026. Chiltern View Ice Rink, at Chiltern View Garden Centre on Wendover Road, Stoke Mandeville, opens with a ticketed launch night on Friday 20 November and then runs every day except Christmas Day until Tuesday 5 January 2027. Skating is from £10 for a 40-minute session, with skates included (Chiltern View Ice Rink).

New Year’s Day, Friday 1 January, is not on the list. The rink says times can change for private bookings and asks skaters to check its social media or the booking page, which only shows sessions that are actually available.
Weekday sessions before 14 December start at noon. The rink is also inviting registered charities to apply for an 11am to 11.30am slot on set weekdays from 23 November to 11 December.
Tickets and prices
Skating is from £10 for a 40-minute session, booked by date and time on the rink’s ticket page, which shows the exact adult and child price once you pick a session. The rest of what the rink publishes:
- Skates are included. If they do not fit, swap them for another size.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your session to have your boots fitted.
- Under-13s must have an adult skating with them.
- Skating aids for children (the penguins) cost from £5 and are limited, so book them with your tickets.
- Disabled and carer skate tickets are from £10.
- Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
- No tickets are posted. Show the order email when you arrive.
- The rink recommends warm clothes, gloves and some form of head protection for children.
Customer support is by email only, to info@chilternviewicerink.co.uk. The rink asks people not to ring the garden centre, which cannot help with skating bookings (Chiltern View Ice Rink).
Opening night, Friday 20 November
The launch is themed Through the Wardrobe on Ice, from 6pm to 9pm. BBC Three Counties Radio’s Andy Collins hosts with Strictly Come Dancing professional Luba Mushtuk, Harry Cambridge performs his Luther Vandross tribute, and there is an LED ice show, aerialists, stilt walkers and Narnia characters. Every ticket includes a welcome drink, canapés and a sweet treat.
- Skating ticket: £35. Spectator ticket: £25. Every adult and child needs one.
- Skating that night is in 25-minute sessions, staggered on a first come, first served basis: you get a coloured wristband telling you when to collect your skates.
- The rink says the entertainment line-up can change.
Santa and the VR sleigh ride
Visit Santa runs on Saturday 12, Sunday 13, Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and Thursday 24 December, 10am to 2pm. It is £15 a child, for a present and a photo with Santa. It is an add-on: it does not include skating, and tickets cannot be moved to another date (Chiltern View Ice Rink).

Getting there and parking
The rink is at Chiltern View Garden Centre on the A413 Wendover Road, between Aylesbury and Wendover, HP22 5GX. Parking is free in the garden centre’s large floodlit car park, according to the rink. Food and hot drinks are sold on site, and there is a winter bar.
