Aylesbury's Christmas market is the Sunday Market's Christmas Edition, 11am to 4pm on 13 December in Market Square. Plus six more festive fairs nearby.

Aylesbury’s Christmas market is on Sunday 13 December 2026, 11am to 4pm, in Market Square. It is the Christmas Edition of The Sunday Market, the monthly artisan market Buckinghamshire Council runs with the operator Saunders Markets. Entry is free; it is a street market.

Aylesbury has no multi-week Christmas market with chalets. What it has is a run of one-day markets and fairs from early November to mid December, and they are listed below in date order, each with the organiser’s own page.

Sunday 13 December: the Christmas Edition

Buckinghamshire Council’s artisan markets page lists the 2026 Aylesbury dates for The Sunday Market, and the last of the year is “Sunday 13 December (Christmas Edition)”. The details it gives:

  • Market Square, Aylesbury HP20 1TW
  • 11am to 4pm
  • stalls selling homemade, retro and vintage items, fresh produce, crafts and street food, including vegan food
  • run with Saunders Markets under its Bucks Markets name

The council has not yet published a stall list or anything extra for the Christmas Edition. One small inconsistency: the council’s separate Aylesbury market page says the Sunday artisan market opens at 10am. The dated listing says 11am, and that is the one we would plan around.

If you cannot make 13 December, High Wycombe’s Christmas Edition of the same market is a week earlier, on Sunday 6 December, on the High Street (HP11 2AZ), also 11am to 4pm.

Saturday 7 November: QPAC Artisan Craft Fair

The first Christmas shopping date of the season is the annual Artisan Craft Fair at Queens Park Arts Centre, on Saturday 7 November, 10am to 4pm (Queens Park, HP21 7RT). Aylesbury Town Council’s listing gives the date and times and says entry is free, donations welcome.

The arts centre’s own Artisan page says the fair has 35 local artists’ and makers’ stalls, with live theatre and music, craft activities and a cake sale. Stall applications have closed, so the line-up is set.

Sunday 15 November: the November Sunday Market

The November date of The Sunday Market is Sunday 15 November, 11am to 4pm, Market Square, on the same council list. It is the regular monthly market rather than a Christmas edition, but it is the last one before the Christmas run starts.

Sunday 22 November: Christmas on the Cobbles

The town’s lights switch-on, Christmas on the Cobbles, is on Sunday 22 November, 12pm to 6pm, across the town centre, according to Aylesbury Town Council’s 2026 listing. In 2025 it included market stalls and a licensed bar in The Exchange, with the funfair in Kingsbury and crafts in Friars Square. The 2026 listing does not yet say whether the stalls return. Full detail, including the parade, fireworks and road closures, is on our Christmas lights switch-on page.

Buckingham: 26 November and 12 December

  • Thursday 26 November, 4pm to 7pm: Christmas Lights Switch On outside The Old Gaol. Buckingham Town Council’s listing promises carols, food vendors and “an abundance of local stalls”.
  • Saturday 12 December, 11.30am to 2pm: Community Fair at Buckingham Community Centre. The council’s listing describes stalls run by local groups, societies and charities selling Christmas decorations, crafts, calendars and chocolates.

The Community Fair listing still says it follows the Christmas Parade. The parade has been cancelled, so check the listing before you go. We cover that on our Buckingham Christmas lights page.

Wendover: Saturday 28 November

Wendover Parish Council’s Christmas Celebration and Light Switch On is on Saturday 28 November, 5pm to 8pm, on the Manor Waste outside Sweeney’s on the High Street. The council describes it as “festive shopping, food and drink” and is taking stall applications from local makers, retailers, charities and businesses. More on our Wendover Christmas lights page.

Waddesdon: 4 to 6 December, Artists and Makers Fair

There is no Christmas Fair at Waddesdon Manor this year; Christmas at Waddesdon is paused for 2026. In its place is an Artists and Makers Fair on Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December in the Dairy, with 25 artists, designers and makers selling ceramics, jewellery, textiles and homeware.

Unlike everything else on this page, it is ticketed: from £10, booked in two-hour visits, with admission to the house and grounds and the shuttle bus from the car park included. Background on our Waddesdon Manor Christmas page.

Not confirmed for 2026

  • Hartwell Nurseries, Stone. The garden centre has held a Christmas Market over a late November weekend: in 2024 it was 23 and 24 November, according to the council’s Visit Aylesbury listing. Its website currently advertises its Winter Wonderland trail and Father Christmas but gives no 2026 market date.
  • The Vegan Market Co. It brought a market to Market Square on Sunday 30 November 2025, per the town council’s listing. Nothing is listed for 2026.
  • The council’s old Christmas Craft and Gift Fair in Market Square. The last dated listing we can find on Visit Aylesbury is Sunday 4 December 2022. This year the council’s Christmas market date is the Sunday Market’s Christmas Edition.

We will add any of these if the organisers publish a 2026 date.

Parking

Saunders Markets points market visitors to Exchange Street car park (HP20 1QY) and Waterside North, both a short walk from Market Square. In 2025 Aylesbury Community Board paid for free parking in some town car parks on the switch-on day; that has not been confirmed for 2026. Tariffs and Blue Badge detail are on our Aylesbury parking page, and road closures and works on the way in are on the roadworks and travel page.
